"Katie changed my life with horses forever
and I'm so grateful. Her approach to training has made our horses happier, more confident and relaxed, as a result willing to work. I would even say, that I am enjoying training and working with horses more, and more willing to work! I laugh now that breaking my shoulder and not be able to ride for a few months was the best thing that ever happened." - Ashley B., TRAINER (and someone I recommend if you are looking for a jumping trainer or jumping instructor!)
"Katie is truly an exceptional horse trainer. What sets her apart is her deep understanding that every horse is an individual with its own personality, pace, and needs. She doesn’t follow a one-size-fits-all approach—instead, she meets each horse exactly where they are in their training journey.
Katie has an incredible ability to read and connect with horses. She patiently adapts her methods to suit each horse’s temperament, allowing them to feel safe, understood, and supported. It’s clear that building trust is at the heart of everything she does. Her calm, consistent presence helps horses gain confidence and flourish in their own time.
Watching Katie work is inspiring. Her dedication, empathy, and intuitive approach create a partnership between horse and trainer that is grounded in mutual respect. If you’re looking for someone who truly honors the individuality of your horse while helping them grow with kindness and skill, Katie is the one." - Jennifer S., OWNER
"I started working with Katie a few months ago when moved my gelding. Moving to a new place made my Arabian anxious and hot, difficult to hand walk as he was not engaging with me at all but rather, he was hyper concerned with everything else around him. I reached out to Katie for her expertise in keeping him focused on me and not worry about everything around him.
Katie’s easy way of explaining things and calm demeanor was a lifesaver for us! She is so knowledgeable and readily shares her insight with others. Katie is the first trainer to speak in a way that I actually understand what she is talking about! I so appreciate her way of easy communication, making it effortless to take her knowledge and use it with my horse when she is not around." - Robin I., OWNER
"I've known Katie for many years and I am always in awe of her training abilities. She has helped us restart 2 OTTB's with their new careers. She helped get me get started in Mounted Shooting and has assisted in introducing a number of my horses to gunfire. Recently, Katie helped me work with my new mare who is quite reactive. She worked with her on the R+ (Clicker training) which has helped her a lot. Katie's knowledge of horses makes her an exceptional trainer for whatever you may need." - Lisa J., OWNER
"Katie is a magical horsewoman. She is defined by professionalism, skill, theoretical knowledge, and a strong work ethic.
My horse,Cowboy, is a qtr. Horse in his mid 20s. She provided an overall tune-up which included ground manners, mounting, Respect, head shyness, success in consistently picking up his right lead and desensitization to external environmental issues.
Katie treats Cowboy with consistent gentle training and care takes him as an owner would.
Katie is trustworthy, honest and reliable. She individualizes the horse as well as the client and orchestrates an effective treatment plan.
I trust her implicitly to care for my horse when I am unable.
I endorse Katie as a valuable and kind horse trainer and applaud her success.

"My husband and I are growing up Dolly, a
Shetland pony, with the managed training
skills of Katie Dubow. Our goal is that she
become a very versatile children’s pony.
Early on as a weanling at 11 months she
played by darting at high speeds, swirling in
flying lead changes and meeting the
challenge of clicker training, liberty training,
learning to respond to ground hand cues
trained by Katie Dubow. Katie taught her
how to turn tightly and perfected her long
rein, harness and Easy Entry driving
training this spring. Now, at age 4, she is
being ridden under Katie’s direction with a
bareback pad, western saddle and English
saddle. Dolly uses a bitless bridle for
everything and has become a dream horse
for all involved. Katie Dubow is the key. She
loves horses and knows how they think. It is
almost playful how she turned around our
quarter horse, Paris, into a trusting and
confident Obstacle Course guru. When I
watch her train, I feel like screaming with
excitement. In a 15 minute time frame Katie
taught Paris to accept me to mount her on
her right side.
My horse, who shied and bucked from the
unknown, is now trusting, inquisitive and
willing. She is very fit, strong, and sure-
footed, manages ground and driving cues
with ease and looks forward to new
adventures. She loves each day that she
works with Katie." - Susan T., OWNER
